Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering (emphasis in environmental heath, reproductive and developmental toxicology) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Rayner conducted her dissertation research in the Endocrinology and Developmental Biology Branches of the Reproductive Toxicology Division of the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Research experience and interests include early mammary gland development, rat and mouse mammary gland removal, staining, and scoring, developmental and reproductive outcomes from gestational environmental contaminant exposure (especially pesticides) with emphasis on puberty and mammary development and function, and fetal basis of adult disease. Her publication record includes nine abstracts (five first author, four co-author) and three peer-reviewed articles.
