Research Interests
Contaminant transformation in aquatic and sediment environments: aqueous chemical speciation and surface chemical reactions that control the fates of metals (Hg, Sr), radionuclides (U, Tc), and organic pollutants (TCE, VC etc) in engineering systems and in the natural environment. Processes affecting colloidal particles in natural water/sediment environments: (i) Colloidal stability, deposition, and transport; (ii) chemical processes governing mineral oxide particle precipitation and dissolution in water
