M.S. in geology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1988.  Since joining the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1991, he has been participating in and coordinating a number of health and environmental risk assessment projects, primarily at DOE hazardous waste sites.  Most recently he has worked on an EPA task evaluating the environmental risk of pesticides.
