Radiological Risk Analysis
Numerous projects and organizations (NRC, EPA, and ICRP, among others) have implemented the results of biokinetic and dosimetry research conducted by RARA scientists. For example, biokinetic research has provided realistic prediction models, one of the fundamental elements of safety/risk assessment, replacing decades old exposure paradigms for NRC, ICRP and NRCP. Resources include extensive computational tools and databases of physiological, anatomical, and radiological parameters—those that enter into assessment of radiation dose to body tissues at risk for both acute and chronic health effects.
