Professoinal Experience
Bibi S. Naz is a watershed hydrologist in the Environmental Science Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). She received her doctorate degree in the Environmental Soils and Landscape Processes from the Agronomy at Purdue University in 2011. Since joining ORNL in 2013, Dr. Naz has been working on research projects investigating the effects of climate change on water resources, hydropower generation and extreme hydrological events using high-resolution hydro-climate model simulations. Before joining ORNL, she worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Washington, where she contributed to the development of a glacier module for the Distributed Hydrology Soil-Vegetation Model (DHSVM) that she used to investigate the climate change effects on streamflow in glacierized basins.
