Educational Opportunities

The Environmental Sciences Division has developed and maintained a strong commitment to environmental education. We have maintained relationships with many educational institutions and environmental organizations. Many of our student/faculty programs are administered through Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). This includes programs for undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates, faculty and some pre-college students. Click here to apply or for more program information.

Highly qualified graduate students who are close to completing their PhD dissertations as well as current postdoctoral fellows who have not completed more than one postdoctoral fellowship and who are not yet 3 years post-PhD are eligible to apply for the Eugene P. Wigner Fellowship program. This program provides research staff positions and two years of research funding at competitive salaries to several scientists across ORNL each year. See
